Cross country scrimmage

The Grizzlies cross country team scrimmaged a 2.8 mile run against cross town rivals Monache high school on Saturday, Sept. 17.
Before the meet began, the grizzlies huddled in the middle for a prayer and the team popped off to "Ingrid on three," which was led by Megan Auguiano.
The Lady grizzlies started at 4 p.m. followed the boys at 5:30 p.m.
Angelica Reyes came in first with the time of 20:01. Gabby Ayala came in fourth with the time of 22:34. Megan Auguiano came in twelfth with the time of 24:26 Elide Solis came in thirteenth with the time of 24:38. Isabell Perez came in fifteen with the time of 25:46
“I am proud of myself,” said senior at Granite Angelica Reyes, “I worked really hard during practice.
As for the boys, Oscar Campos came in sixth with the time of 16:59. Jose Gonzalez came in eighth with the time of 17:05. Brian Rand came in twelfth with the time of 18:22. Mario Madrigal came in fourteenth with the time of 18:46. Martin Ayala came in fifteen with the time of 18:49.
"We did great as a team," said senior at Granite Mario Madrigal.
Overall, the Grizzlies gave the Marauders quite the challenge.
"This was just practice for the Visalia invitational in Corcoran,” Said Chris Ross coach of the cross country team.
