The cafeteria has become the new destination for the Granite Hills cheerleaders, captain Stephanie Bedolla runs the practice and gears the girls up for a lengthy, yet exhilarating basketball season.
Cheerleaders start with their own warm up; they line up and briefly stretch together. After stretching, the girls join their groups and start their favorite part of practice, stunting.
The cheerleaders have been preparing for basketball season in the cafeteria every week.
“This year I’m over the top excited to start cheering for Basketball, there is always so much excitement, and I’m ready for our Grizzlies to play their hearts out,” stated co-captain Jasmine Velasquez.
The cheer squad has been working hard on their stunts in preparation. They have many stunts that they have put together to show off for the new basketball season.
“Stunting is one thing I love about cheer, we definitely have a different style than Porterville and Monache,” said Madison Stubbs, “It sets us apart and gets the crowd looking.”
The Granite Hills Cheerleaders will be at every home game supporting the Grizzlies. Come out and support our boys and girls along with the cheer squad.
