The end is here and everything is settling down for football season, which includes Granite Hill's Cheer.
“I think eliminating cheer practices Monday's is great,” stated Varsity cheerleader Rachel Lamb. “Now we have a day to schedule appointments and do not have to miss cheer practice.”
The Granite Hills Cheerleading Squad cheered more than just football games. They had a very busy season where they attended volleyball games, water polo matches and football games.
“Cheering at all these games was a blast; you get this adrenaline rush when you're standing on the sidelines and they score a touchdown,” expressed third year cheerleader Janelle Castillo. “We love supporting volleyball as we try to support as many sports as we can.”
The girls had an amazing season cheering the boys into playoffs for the second time in a row.
With basketball season around the corner, varsity cheerleader Danae Lopez added, “I think it is going be a great year. We have a lot of potential. Basketball season will be very intense because we are more involved with the game.”
The lady grizzlies pulled off a successful season, with new routines, dances, stunts and are definitely looking forward to the upcoming season.
