What is more romantic and satisfying than a 72-day marriage under the menacing public eye?

Kim Kardashian yet again has gone through another “love” blunder with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Kris Humphries.

Kim Kardashian filed for divorce, citing that there were “irreconcilable differences” within their relationship. When Kardashian spoke with music producer, Damon Thomas, she said, "I didn't know myself. As unhappy as I was, and as happy as I am now not to be in that relationship, I learned so much from it: who I wanted to be, who I never wanted to be -- you take all those issues and move on.”

“I think that the marriage was too early anyways and that they should have dated longer before they decided to get married. The family was already having problems with them,” says senior, Alexis Quiling.

According to USMagazine, Humphries claimed that he was "devastated" when he found out about Kardashian's “Halloween divorce filing”; Humphries had actually found out about the filing when watching the gossip news television show, TMZ. Blindsided by his discovery, Humphries was reluctant and determined to do anything in his power to save the broken marriage. Sadly, the pair had reached “closure” in Humphries’ home town in Minnesota.

If you watch at 9:30 p.m. on channel E!, consistent viewers, even viewers who do not agree with the lifestyle, of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, can tell you how both Kardashian and Humphries’ differences and belief systems were spilled all out on the table. This only foreshadowed their crumbling marriage.

You may ask, was this just a publicity scam or was it true love? All that is certain is that Kardashian had profited from selling vacation photos of her and Kris for $100,000, to a first-post divorce interview for a half a million dollars. Kardashian is definitely taking this opportunity to make every penny, whether or not it upsets thousands of her fans.

“It wasn’t true love because they just wanted more publicity of themselves. If it was love, it wouldn’t have ended so quickly,” says senior, Jairo Madrigal.

Despite many accusations of having a fake marriage, Kardashian’s lawyer, Laura Wasser claims that the marriage was “absolutely, positively the real deal.” Wasser states that there were signs that it was not a phony marriage: the negotiations were "prolonged" and dealt with financial issues "that go well into the future.” So why would they deal with future issues if this may have been such a short marriage?

Just to add that extra “kick” in all of this chaos, over $4,000 fans have launched a petition asking TV network, E!, to stop broadcasting all of the Kardashian families’ reality shows due to Kardashian’s divorce. Kardashian’s eye on making money from the divorce definitely does not show a good model for those “young lovers” out there; the viewers are highly susceptible to bad influence.

If you would look through all the corruption, accusations, and anger, there are still those who give Kardashian the benefit of the doubt.

"I think she's wonderful in every aspect and I think that she should marry who ever she wants. The marriage was totally out of love," says senior, Eduardo Gamboa.

Looking back on this in a couple years, sympathy will definitely grow for the 72-day marriage. You still have to look at other factors for celebrities:

“I believe that love is an emotion even the reality stars have but love expressed in the public eye is open to criticism and unfortunately [Kardashian’s] marriage failed under the microscope of the media,” says senior Ernestina Quintero.

8) For me i only think that the marriage was just for the money. In this article Brooke said that the vacation photos of Kim and Kris were being sold for $100,000. Do you call that a marriage Kim?

It sucks that their marriage only lasted 72 days. In the first place if they didn't love each other than why get married in the first place. And if they did it just to get publicity and money then thats just wrong. Really who does that. This world is becoming even more weird every day.

I think that the media should give the Kardashian’s a little space because maybe their love was true even if the did go out for a little while. They might have really loved each other but they couldn't have enjoyed their alone time with each other if there is a whole group of cameras in their face every day. I blame the media on their divorce.

I think everyone who watches Keeping Up with the Kardashians saw this coming. Kris was already not getting along with Kim's sisters. It was a total waste of time and money, but it was a beautiful wedding.
