Literacy on Campus Club

The LOC Club, or Literacy on Campus Club, is a club based around encouraging students to read.

When and Where: Thursdays in the Library during lunch
The LOC Club, or Literacy on Campus Club, is a club based around reading. They try to encourage people of all ages to read. Stephanie Hicks said,”I have been in the LOC Club since freshman year and always loved it! Being a book worm myself, it has always appealed to me!” They are able to help and host many events including Teen read week, where they try to make reading appeal to teens, and Dr. Suess day, where they read to elementary students. Being that the librarian, Ms. May is their advisor, they have access to the library and owns many books at all times. This helps them encourage and suggest that others on campus who aren’t avid readers.
