Porterville Memorial Auditorium concert. Granite Hills High School folkloric dance will be presenting a concert at Porterville Memorial Auditorium on Saturday, Dec. 11. The concert will be held from 7-9 p.m.

There will be dancing performances by Monache, Porterville, and Granite Hills. Schools will get a chance to show their school pride and show how hard they have been working.

“Last year we had get spirit when presenting our dance; I am sure Granite will do a fantastic job this year as well. I will be there supporting Granite even though I have graduated already,” says former student Maria Nunez.

Each dance class for each school is doing a dance for a different region of Mexico. Granite’s beginner class will be presenting a dance from Baja California Sur. The advanced class will be presenting a dance from Guerrero.

“We are going to do great, Granite is doing a great job this year,” says Granite folkloric dancer Luz Maria Reyes.

There will also be a singing performance by junior from Porterville Agustin Reyes.

Cost will be $5 at the door.
