The band Anti-Flag has produced a new EP called A Benefit For Victims Of Violent Crime, and fans are anxious to get a hold of it. Good news for those diligent listeners, it can be preordered at A-F Records online. Only a year before, they released both an album and a vinyl recording of For Blood And Empire.

The album is set to be released the second day of October, 2007. The EP will be released to acknowledge bassist/vocalist Chris #2's family who experienced a horrible tragedy. Chris #2's sister was a victim of a violent crime; she left behind a young daughter and son. Anti-Flag conjured up an EP to recognize other victims of such crimes. The proceeds will be going to, The Center for Victims of Violence and Crime (
www.cvvc.org) as well as educational bonds. The boys of Anti-Flag do hope that listeners who have had similar situations will feel a connection to the album.

The band Anti-Flag got its start on a local Pittsburgh radio station in 1993. They are commonly labeled as a political punk group, always expressing their thoughts about religion, government, worldl issues, and nationalism. In 1997, after releasing many singles they began opening for idol bands such as the U.K. Subs, the Exploited, and the Circle Jerks. They briefly toured the East Coast, which led to the departure of Andy Flag who sang vocals and played bass. Die for the Government was also released before his departure. 20,000 copies, four bassists, and four North American tours later, Anti-Flag built up a reputation for recapturing the old-school ethics of punk: fast, loud, thrash, and basically anti-everything.

The band currently includes Justin Sane rocking it with the vocal chords, Chris Head shredding brains with his mighty guitar, Chris #2 soothing the ladies' souls with beautiful bass chords, and Pat Thetic completely blowing listeners away with his amazing drumming skills. Anti-Flag continue to amaze its fans, improving with each album. Since 1997, they've released about 10+ albums and one vinyl record of For Blood And Empire. If you’re still a bit sketchy about buying this album, you can preview a few of the songs on the Anti-Flag
MySpace page. Also, you might want to get a copy as soon as you can, there will be a limited pressing of A Benefit for Victims of Violent Crime.
