Valentine's chocolates? Visit Stafford's!

Looking for last minute Valentine’s Day gifts? Check out Stafford's famous chocolates, located on Henderson Ave. Stafford's is the right place to get just the thing for that special someone.
Their specials for Valentine’s Day are great and creative. For Valentine's day, they have heart shaped boxes of candy, and candies that are wrapped in a Valentine's day wrapping. They also have hearts shaped chocolates and heart shaped suckers. These heart shaped candies can also come in the form of lips.
But these candies certainly do not taste bad. When I tried the candy, I couldn't help but notice how rich and creamy it was. It was certainly better than any other kind of chocolate that I have tasted before.
Their chocolates aren't only for Valentine's Day. People can go to the store all year round, whether it's for a birthday, Christmas, or just if they feel like getting a box of chocolates.
One of their specialties, the Ooey Gooey Bar, is definitely something worth trying. People had told me that it was "heavenly" and "amazing," so I had to try one for myself. I agreed with these people the moment I took that first bite. With milk chocolate and nuts on the outside, and marshmallows and peanut butter on the inside, this is something that one could give anyone for any time of the year.
The do not only sell candies and chocolates, they also sell ice cream, with a variety of 16 flavors.
Although the chocolate is good, it is kind of pricy. A one bound box costs $20, a two pound cost $20, a three pound costs $60, and a five pound box costs $100. That might seem expensive, but they make everything from scratch and in the back.
Although the chocolate is rich and creamy, Stafford’s has seem to lost it’s originality since Mr. Stafford passed away. Is anyone in the family caring on the tradition of unique chocolate sculptures?
“I went there last night to get my son and daughter to get their valentines present, they used to have all sorts of neat chocolate sculptures and candies, like school rulers, but I couldn’t find any fancy chocolates so I left,” English teacher Evan Hackett said.
But according to Beverly Congdon, cousin of the managers there, you can order chocolate sculptures ahead of time, they are just not on display.
So go check out Stafford’s Famous Chocolates, it will be worth your while.
