The Brickhouse is a restaurant that is a bit pricier for teenagers, but nonetheless an exciting place to go out with friends. The sports bar is complete with 11 plasma screen TVs. As I looked up at the different autographed baseball, basketball and football jerseys decorating the walls,
I was soon told by a waitress dressed in a referee outfit to sit anywhere I’d like. Some of the jerseys were from players such as Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, Terry Bradshaw and Jerry Rice.

The sports bar has a large variety of lunch and dinner choices. The menu consists of appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, calamari, pastas, and dinner salads. Beverages include soda fountain drinks, a full bar, as well as a large selection of wine, bottled beer, and beer on tap.

The menu has a total of eighteen appetizers from four dollars to ten dollars—everything from egg rolls to calamari to mozzarella cheese sticks. Not one, not two, not three, but four different kinds of tasty fries are available to order: beer battered fries, seasoned fries, waffle fries and regular cut fries.

Sandwiches come with a choice of fries (any of the four), soup or salad. There are ten different sandwiches to choose from—the New York steak and chicken teriyaki are two of the restaurant’s favorites.

Five different burgers are on the menu, none costing over nine dollars. These huge burgers also come with a choice of fries, soup or salad. Some tasty burgers to try are the mushroom Swiss and the barbeque burger.

Steaks are a specialty at The Brickhouse. The 12-ounce rib eye steak is about 19 dollars and comes with a choice of soup, salad, a baked potato or fries. The steak dinner also includes the vegetable-of-the-day and garlic cheese bread.

Dinner salads range from four dollars to nine dollars. Soups of the day come in two quantities—a cup is $3.69 and a bowl is $4.99.

I personally ordered the chicken fettuccini alfredo. I also got a side salad and garlic bread. The fettuccini wasn’t the best I’ve had, but wasn’t bad either. I would, however, recommend a different item on the menu.

The Brickhouse is not the best place to eat for a bargain. Nonetheless, it’s an exciting place to dine for special occasions with a great variety of meal choices to order. That’s why the Grizzly Gazette gives The Brickhouse four Grizzly Paws.
