My favorite time of year is fall and winter, and for good reason too. One of my main reasons is because its pumpkin season! Pumpkin spice candles, Pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice bread, and the list can go on! And so, this is something I have come up with, from an idea my friend gave me, and so, if you’re a fanatic like me with all things pumpkin flavored/scented, then I sure hope you give this recipe a try!
Now this, like most every recipe has to agree with the person making it. So for this particular shake, you may like more sugar, cinnamon, or ice-cream, it all depends on you, so go crazy! Make something that suits you best! I’ll just try to steer you through it.
As you read, keep in mind this is all going into a blender…
For me, I like pumpkin flavored things so for one serving (like the picture) I used between ¼ to ½ of the can of pure pumpkin. I would advise you not to use the whole can, unless you are making more than one serving!
Now, for the vanilla ice-cream, I prefer French vanilla, but you may like another kind. Now I used about three big scoops, but you may use more or less. Usually after you start blending, you may add more to keep that milkshake consistency.
Now is the time to add the sugar! I used two tablespoons to begin with, but as I blended I ended up adding more, so the same may go for you.
Here is your chance to add your additional items: I added 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and two tablespoons of whip cream (and I added more during blending).
We’re almost done! Now to get this going while blending, this is where your milk comes in! I started off with two tablespoons of milk (or evaporated milk), and that was sufficient for me, but you may want more.
Now is your chance to show off your blending skills!
Blend Blend Blend!!!!
Once you are done, pour it into a glass, and then I suggest spooning on some whip cream on top.
And there you have it!
I hope you enjoyed this week’s recipe!
