"I feel guilty because I envy my best friend,

Envy of a Friend
Marcela Ceballos| 03/10/08 |Poerty

I feel guilty because I envy my best friend.
I envy her because God favors her in everything she does.
When she wants something, it just pops into her life.
When I want something there she is with it.

I wish for once something would pop into my life.
She wishes to have a great education.
It was as if the lights had flickered and she was graduating at the top of
her class.

While I was sitting in my desk working hard.
She wants to have the best family.
Like a bolt of lightning her family stands in front of her,
While I sit alone in my house.

The only I wish is that God would favor my last request,
We will both be happy at the end.
