I want to be the light at the end of your tunnel
The one who brightens your day
I want to be the one who puts that smile on your face
I will be here always for you to hold onto
The one you run to when you don’t know what to do
Girls can be heroes too
You think you know everything
But the truth is that you don’t even compare
Not even close to what we go through
All through our lives
Periods, babies, and your ex- wife
All of these things that we experience
And you don’t even know
That deep down in our hearts
We won’t turn around and go
I thought I was the only one for you
But that was just a lie
I thought I was the one who put that twinkle in your eye
I guess all good things must end
Or come to a sudden stop
Runnin away from tears is no way to turn
Girls can be heroes too
Everyday champions
We’re the ones who show the men what’s good
So now that you’ve heard one part of my story
Now go and prove it
